Everyone that eats her rice always wants the recipe, so here it is! It is so delicious, you won't believe how easy it is to make. </div><div align="center"></div><div align="center">First you start out with cooled rice. She usually makes hers in a rice maker the day before. She uses Mahatma rice. There is a difference in good Mahatma rice versus an off brand of rice, she will tell you! Then you break apart the rice so that there aren't any clumps. She says to break it apart by hand; I don't know why but this is just how things are done and I don't question it. :)</div><div align="center"></div><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVAqYPDQc9yh_8G8_qY_u7rJ2omG7mXA9qfxXww13awWbzO8fUGMLTlSH53KNgYsFe53obJ57SZkh4nxV6oLIsgmpXydMTW2Pw5EwSMVMq3ZiGL2jr83U-wMvj0LjICHAg-__WmuTUVfRb/s1600/Seth's+Birthday+015.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5460493138712042722" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVAqYPDQc9yh_8G8_qY_u7rJ2omG7mXA9qfxXww13awWbzO8fUGMLTlSH53KNgYsFe53obJ57SZkh4nxV6oLIsgmpXydMTW2Pw5EwSMVMq3ZiGL2jr83U-wMvj0LjICHAg-__WmuTUVfRb/s400/Seth's+Birthday+015.JPG" /></a><br />Get a skillet going over medium heat, and add some oil and chopped garlic.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeEipG1-eATr0EOwUXyQ5PjpzdDXAElj3AEKG2Ku0b3sZPuQAQGT0AGH6XqmMgJfN0GT3qj-tc_uzlfbsryhmqJlDT2p1nbNblTOli6JAUCKo0jVhMtKsv6d9CUQI4O4E_IVu5S3pXzBQ_/s1600/Seth's+Birthday+020.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5460492765669329730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeEipG1-eATr0EOwUXyQ5PjpzdDXAElj3AEKG2Ku0b3sZPuQAQGT0AGH6XqmMgJfN0GT3qj-tc_uzlfbsryhmqJlDT2p1nbNblTOli6JAUCKo0jVhMtKsv6d9CUQI4O4E_IVu5S3pXzBQ_/s400/Seth's+Birthday+020.JPG" /></a> Now... I know this is going to be hard to believe, but you have to add SPAM! *gasp* Don't worry, I am an avid Spam hater, and I ate this rice up like it was going out of style...and THEN found out she used Spam. I survived, and so will you. You will like it, I promise. The Spam adds the saltiness you need for the perfect fried rice. The important thing to remember with the rice is to fold it over. If you do too much stirring, your rice gets mushy. This is the perfect fried rice! She adds a scrambled egg sometimes too. When you do that, you just push the rice to the side, add a tad of oil (just enough so the egg won't stick to the pan), and crack the egg directly into the pan. Then scramble it up and mix it with the rice. You can also add chicken to the rice. She's even made this stuff for breakfast with bacon added to it. She is almost 8 months old (on the 6th of this month). She has grown so much, so quickly. I enjoy her so much. She is my cuddle-bug baby. She loves hugs, and kisses, and cuddling-which is nice, considering Addison never let me. Mamaw calls Addison "high maintenance." She always has been. She is my fun, rowdy girl and Macyn is so lovey and laid back. It's crazy how God can take siblings and make them so very different...and it is so apparent at such a young age! Who would have thought!<br />I took a few pictures of Macyn yesterday that I thought I would share!<br /><br /><div align="center">Here she is ready for take-off!</div><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFptoyRBMf57_hLdqS26GmEDXAVZ1gNAoB1g4gjfXE1JouBiO8AGbpKe3MSo4xR6ScxOiiAi6bP7eQ2jE03tl83xLAEQO4oJOtzxshJN0mtdWSNgikPMwkE1Lr9kMM-TzrOv760a5k8Fij/s1600/Macyn+8+months+036.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5455183649985277458" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFptoyRBMf57_hLdqS26GmEDXAVZ1gNAoB1g4gjfXE1JouBiO8AGbpKe3MSo4xR6ScxOiiAi6bP7eQ2jE03tl83xLAEQO4oJOtzxshJN0mtdWSNgikPMwkE1Lr9kMM-TzrOv760a5k8Fij/s400/Macyn+8+months+036.JPG" /></a> </div><div align="center">She finds herself almost in a tee-pee position a lot nowdays. She wears it day and night if I will let her. She even wears it to the park! (Believe me, it wasn't worth fighting the battle, even though I didn't want her to get it dirty.) She is growing up so fast! She is convinced she is a Princess, which i have to agree with. I love the fact that she thinks that any time I wear <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">highheels</span>, that I am a Princess too. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikwwVKnhpbc9Sg70C1q9-ausVnLSRCGFzgXwfiTcjFRrgxHMzlfzHwoOheQIQ2GgYvDdZ8nz6VVSOAxVZsAIGOob6GNsC4hi9c3ozswOYziXfXvx83ZWgJPRCt_qUBxX9zVW3ebApnnizw/s1600/3-19-10+022.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5452195885283369282" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikwwVKnhpbc9Sg70C1q9-ausVnLSRCGFzgXwfiTcjFRrgxHMzlfzHwoOheQIQ2GgYvDdZ8nz6VVSOAxVZsAIGOob6GNsC4hi9c3ozswOYziXfXvx83ZWgJPRCt_qUBxX9zVW3ebApnnizw/s400/3-19-10+022.JPG" /></a> I also made my first set of <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">Scentsy</span> samples the other day. I have seen different ways online to create samples. This was my first experiment with it. I melted the brick of wax (Baked Apple Pie) in a glass measuring cup for about 2 minutes in the microwave. Thanks to my sister Heather, I now <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">know</span> NOT to grab the handle of the measuring cup without a potholder. It gets REALLY hot.<br />I lined a cookie sheet with foil and poured the wax on. I let the wax set up until it was hard enough for me to cut with a cookie cutter. I bought the cookie cutters at Hobby Lobby. They are the smallest ones that I could find. Anyway, after I cut the stars out, I placed them on another foil sheet so that they could finish cooling down and hardening all of the way.<br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5452195864551298194" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeJwVNLT3Q7xC24VYNckAb29jAVM7r4E_Rh91IGTtYSWaq-Xz3SkVY1kJnr_Zh4QtQJWDNt6QST7mkqJr9ZRfsRhivFCF7Phyv5o6XJWPvwJxsj2ZLpkhdPTqbG8nOwKk4afn82apm_LFW/s400/3-19-10+017.JPG" /></div><div>I bought some small jewelery bags at Hobby Lobby to put the samples in. The stars were a little harder than the flowers to put in the little bags because of the points. So, I will be using the flower cookie cutter until I buy bigger bags! I had a lot of help bagging the samples up. Addison was convinced that she could get the stars in the bag, so needless to say, there were a lot of samples that were broken that I had to melt back down again and start over with. She had fun helping though, and that is all that matters.. :)</div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy9DM_Rx2Nv3SwRqzl5UO8CShHQDY_GPB6FBFkUSyxpViyZqd2ztvO0DCSNG82drrrawzKrHbN3Hp4ryPjugGMbryVTs5plkTm5Ixgg3p1S6yypf9uJzXozBRgS8b7HHIQpHq0aqMuMrkG/s1600/3-19-10+019.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5452195882112889634" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy9DM_Rx2Nv3SwRqzl5UO8CShHQDY_GPB6FBFkUSyxpViyZqd2ztvO0DCSNG82drrrawzKrHbN3Hp4ryPjugGMbryVTs5plkTm5Ixgg3p1S6yypf9uJzXozBRgS8b7HHIQpHq0aqMuMrkG/s400/3-19-10+019.JPG" /></a> She had been watching me blow air into the bags to get them to open up. I usually type at night when the girls go to bed, which is why I am such a stickler on bedtimes. I like routine, so you will rarely see me out and about because it will interfere with nap times and bedtimes and such.<br /><br /><br />I also started selling Scentsy...which I LOVE. And in case you don't know what Scentsy is, it is a collection of wax and wax warmers that operate off of a low-wattage light bulb. There are over 80 scents to choose from, as well as numerous fashionable warmers to go with any decor.<br /><br />I am having so much fun selling it, it's ridiculous. Last month was my first month selling Scentsy, and I was aiming for $500 in sales. I thought that seemed a little steep, but I figured I would try it anyway. I ended the month at $2650.00!! Can you believe it?? This stuff sells itself! I am on track for this month too...I will reveal my total at the end of the month but I am hoping to surpass last month's goal!<br />Anyway, I became a fan of it after I smelled it in a photography studio. I decided to host a party and I loved the stuff so much, I decided to become a consultant. I figured I didn't have much to lose. I did not have to invest a lot to get started, just $99. I thought that if I didn't enjoy selling it, I could just use the testers of wax that you get and burn them in my warmer. Why not?? Well, it has proved so far to be a great little business for me. I am having fun..AND making money. It's not really like working when you get to go to parties! Truthfully though, I haven't had to do a whole lot of home parties either. People have been having basket parties for me. A basket party is where they take the scent testers and order forms and get the orders. All I have to do is put the orders in online, and when the product comes in, I bag it up for the hostess and give it back to her to deliver. So, really, my hostesses are doing almost all of the work for me. Thank you guys! :)<br /><br /><br />I have been working on an order tonight and here is what my house looks like on days I get a UPS shipment in.<br /><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449809543028644450" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0A_XfJsvSzADJNzZO2MaqcW5JSPRO62z6YvOu76t8G0C4jnCeuQthGQrq_awAPBnYVdn7cX0-DRI6fCRLWparz1T6qFz8DZVgLFj0kNOnCeF_FNHykTrfk7fI-nK7yenTCrDgqNmfzWBq/s400/Scentsy+002.JPG" />I do have a Scentsy website <a href="http://www.amberbarber.scentsy.us/">www.amberbarber.scentsy.us</a> if you are curious about the product. You can order directly online and have it sent to your house if you would like. I promise, once you smell this product, nothing else compares!</p><p>And above all, my #1 job is being a wife and mommy! It is the most rewarding out of all. I stay-at-home with my girls, so I get the joy of watching my girls grow. Macyn is getting her second tooth and just learned to crawl..although she still scoots some too. Addison is becoming less of a baby every day. I am so sad to see her grow up so fast, but I am also delighted in the progress she makes. We named her Addison Joy for a reason, she truly is a joyful little thing...and fills my heart with more joy than I could ever have hoped for!</p><p> So, I will try to make more frequent blog updates, which will probably be on the progress and activities of the girls!</p><p><br /> </p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540500810927704586.post-53696533245492414252010-03-17T12:11:00.002-05:002010-03-17T12:19:43.919-05:00Spring is Near :)<div align="left">Spring is just around the corner..and I am not sure if it is time to plant herbs or not, but we did! :) It gave us a chance to get outside and enjoy the pretty weather. </div><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsobcpn5ceBiGsk4AclHdDpGDzjEdWDWxYpYe740-cOxO0iS0kZyzT-HKJesSQtEsathyd4jxXeZZyEBUga36Vsrq5SXHT8vJS-2TBR5uz-O3p06Y2W5VO64gz2iqdMvbnHW8Ebsw1w3RS/s1600-h/Planting+herbs+009.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449652323196590130" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsobcpn5ceBiGsk4AclHdDpGDzjEdWDWxYpYe740-cOxO0iS0kZyzT-HKJesSQtEsathyd4jxXeZZyEBUga36Vsrq5SXHT8vJS-2TBR5uz-O3p06Y2W5VO64gz2iqdMvbnHW8Ebsw1w3RS/s400/Planting+herbs+009.JPG" /></a> Macyn Kate 7 months old</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"><br /></div><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3vSs6wR09ClkCaUFYpzeyUZMvFDiUGIejYAZ4iaY7aT5EII-9moLGvKKPRGxu4ph8vYVoiu7rjHsOHOn6zq3g3LEyFaVTu6sxnq2ZUTm7nmoavGNMg-bolrf_e_2IU3mBp0pFZi4AVl2-/s1600-h/Planting+herbs+017.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449652315460229474" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3vSs6wR09ClkCaUFYpzeyUZMvFDiUGIejYAZ4iaY7aT5EII-9moLGvKKPRGxu4ph8vYVoiu7rjHsOHOn6zq3g3LEyFaVTu6sxnq2ZUTm7nmoavGNMg-bolrf_e_2IU3mBp0pFZi4AVl2-/s400/Planting+herbs+017.JPG" /></a>Addison showing me a "flower" (2 1/2 yrs old)<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh87cEyExOF2DX1QYkD9hgh8VtIr0RxvKRSQMMIqta9ur6syuJB0pSfYZ-oJD_cHdahozAKc3obeXnuEcLYxAzknJJiD9HfBzALwEZJVn5xaN545KOmJZNe6Z2omnfnx1bnLOF1Zagqqlw5/s1600-h/Planting+herbs+016.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449652302116030386" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh87cEyExOF2DX1QYkD9hgh8VtIr0RxvKRSQMMIqta9ur6syuJB0pSfYZ-oJD_cHdahozAKc3obeXnuEcLYxAzknJJiD9HfBzALwEZJVn5xaN545KOmJZNe6Z2omnfnx1bnLOF1Zagqqlw5/s400/Planting+herbs+016.JPG" /></a> Doesn't she look cool in her glasses? :)</p><p><br /></p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtY0gbEifOTrR7qRYIvK0UN85eZeLHz15peeoSf4hCfS4Tdl7XlrqecVy2NJaUWVEm_Gulq_LFw7qSOxfuutHaXH-IOocridLN4Q64MHq5m88lfkGl4xeiH8aj-pd82Q6y1d8hMRqS2Oge/s1600-h/Planting+herbs+015.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449652294897104626" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtY0gbEifOTrR7qRYIvK0UN85eZeLHz15peeoSf4hCfS4Tdl7XlrqecVy2NJaUWVEm_Gulq_LFw7qSOxfuutHaXH-IOocridLN4Q64MHq5m88lfkGl4xeiH8aj-pd82Q6y1d8hMRqS2Oge/s400/Planting+herbs+015.JPG" /> <p align="center"></a>What a big helper!<br /></p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvMJICdgOJzmE5ZdvLWfgz4FZV9QdSm7LMTLAHFaPelaa9Q95b7sY026WVEPyZK0zgNnBzv0xoY94hFIlSn1B-f8na_cp2Lo3dThLqStDF4_nPChjw1AysR8RGNqxeJfBENqUJ4xAwQGLC/s1600-h/Planting+herbs+014.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449652283877738850" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvMJICdgOJzmE5ZdvLWfgz4FZV9QdSm7LMTLAHFaPelaa9Q95b7sY026WVEPyZK0zgNnBzv0xoY94hFIlSn1B-f8na_cp2Lo3dThLqStDF4_nPChjw1AysR8RGNqxeJfBENqUJ4xAwQGLC/s400/Planting+herbs+014.JPG" /> <p align="center"></a>I hope we actually got the seeds IN the flower pot instead of on the driveway.</p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540500810927704586.post-85490630053831949522009-09-30T04:44:00.003-05:002009-09-30T04:58:54.598-05:00Video BlogHere is my first video blog. I thought it was too funny because, yes, I have been here myself many times. </div><br /><br />"Over the years, Eric has developed the defensive tactic of selective hearing. I've seen this kind of evolution before --my father has the same skill. The benefits of this are obvious --much less time wasted in attending to every fleeting hysterical fit his wife induges in. I, however, have in response mastered a technique of incremental amplification that has proven most effective in breaking down his defenses. And once he is roused to a reaction, he is at a distinct disadvantage, as he has not heard much of my rant and therefore cannot accurately judge what piece of it he should best respond to in order to defuse it. HAAddison has developed a love for Elmo, as you probably know. She wants to watch Elmo ALL the time. I wake up hearing the theme song in my head sometimes..."La-la-la-la, Elmo's World."<br />Anyway, not too long ago, we were at my mom's house and she found an old baby blanket of Devin's (Who is 6.. I think??) that had an Elmo print on it. It was old, and very boyish..but she loves it. She has taken to carrying it and sleeping with her "covers." <br /><br />She just started nursery school, so I decided to try to make an Elmo blanket that was kind of girly for her. We will see how she likes it... I don't know yet. Probably won't have anything to do with it but I thought I would try it out. It is a "rag blanket" which means that the edges are frayed on purpose. :)<br /><br />I know I get stuff made for me usually but that doesn't mean I cannot sew. (Ahem...April :)) So here is proof! Now, it's not the best job in the world, I know...but it didn't fall apart in the washer...yet!! Haha <br />I didn't sew the name; I had that put on at William's Sporting Goods. But other than that--here it is!!<br /><div align="center">Back</div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCtzFuXpy8tafCelOHTOItxLWarR-g1yshQrleCQDUHFtG4GJfnKjBfXRjbemvrmmilp0VAIEDNtKRogRT2iDDUjw8QSZCYkK-8sIBrdfH-nn4gnWDqYcwVU5Pg5jUuQwmcuQlCzJ1182W/s1600-h/Elmo+Blanket+004.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348747940068195058" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCtzFuXpy8tafCelOHTOItxLWarR-g1yshQrleCQDUHFtG4GJfnKjBfXRjbemvrmmilp0VAIEDNtKRogRT2iDDUjw8QSZCYkK-8sIBrdfH-nn4gnWDqYcwVU5Pg5jUuQwmcuQlCzJ1182W/s400/Elmo+Blanket+004.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPfr0I_7qXm6x1XzK_P2y5Caxd94EcC30M5-qYvIREu2s3GQ7887v9dICtLEgjIUOfBzN061KeANWyb0NBDfS7Be7ny0nraxN355dey6IZ8W07OBwFagRU0O50HKru0FpTQqXX4GzWBKsy/s1600-h/Elmo+Blanket+003.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348747937130620546" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPfr0I_7qXm6x1XzK_P2y5Caxd94EcC30M5-qYvIREu2s3GQ7887v9dICtLEgjIUOfBzN061KeANWyb0NBDfS7Be7ny0nraxN355dey6IZ8W07OBwFagRU0O50HKru0FpTQqXX4GzWBKsy/s400/Elmo+Blanket+003.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Front<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbg0whwxBd6ZlmiORwre9CskIlvaozDawZa6iP5gVi7dNn0KqnCYT_JqDTn6fmbodNyqGcRBhYl4DdX0VFoaYRb-dZlLlTmd5Cy5MVY7S8CLqDWjZOkiqWNzeFzJ0ojuV8U9pHvQz5cx3p/s1600-h/Elmo+Blanket+002.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348747931728212962" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbg0whwxBd6ZlmiORwre9CskIlvaozDawZa6iP5gVi7dNn0KqnCYT_JqDTn6fmbodNyqGcRBhYl4DdX0VFoaYRb-dZlLlTmd5Cy5MVY7S8CLqDWjZOkiqWNzeFzJ0ojuV8U9pHvQz5cx3p/s400/Elmo+Blanket+002.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi21L6N2iQby1O5A7Qe9wNEx9HmYadVRJD3cCkrotIJeEP1MF4PDCPtaK5f9qOm5B-l6Sh4pghW7LXu23ft-Ltv_BoEH_XTcDQkmj31_WDacIJw83UKf_Ew3hiA119LIbKVsgIgP40snadr/s1600-h/Elmo+Blanket+001.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348747928037936050" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi21L6N2iQby1O5A7Qe9wNEx9HmYadVRJD3cCkrotIJeEP1MF4PDCPtaK5f9qOm5B-l6Sh4pghW7LXu23ft-Ltv_BoEH_XTcDQkmj31_WDacIJw83UKf_Ew3hiA119LIbKVsgIgP40snadr/s400/Elmo+Blanket+001.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540500810927704586.post-17143596620640536532009-06-05T17:35:00.003-05:002009-06-10T10:48:00.240-05:00Take me out to the ballgame...My Mom, Dad, Chris and I all went to a Ranger's game on Monday and we had a great time! We had really good tickets, thanks to Chris' dad. We were 6 rows up from the front and right down the first base line. Here is a photo i took..pretty close huh? It's fun letting Addison play outside for a change. Now she is old enough to really enjoy it. Last week my sister and I took the kids to the park for a day, and had a picnic lunch there. We also bought a baby pool with a slide for Addison, so that she has something to do at home as well. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsGYoToT7INYxwIKmR1MuOCED1wwFZmseKxM7WgYu9RO6ulXejWJGW4OMgxzIcgoEuPMM_ySu-cN5Vew79ZA0pBCv3F19GOW9vC0xP1bIrZdU5crSUfO0siBQiF8NXu_WPZuPFLdoelSAS/s1600-h/5-19-09Park+031.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339508000106476514" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsGYoToT7INYxwIKmR1MuOCED1wwFZmseKxM7WgYu9RO6ulXejWJGW4OMgxzIcgoEuPMM_ySu-cN5Vew79ZA0pBCv3F19GOW9vC0xP1bIrZdU5crSUfO0siBQiF8NXu_WPZuPFLdoelSAS/s400/5-19-09Park+031.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy3fPxZXuvY8X5YykeLfuKLzdbugQBsMWV7Ghw9LE4_SUpuvURvwHeWibAH0Z07T_-PH4hgCif7ipTIgMphu4PjZw0nIsYrbC6iuBpPcunDJek2f0yh6qIeoPebbk8PAXBvvt_j_aCvkLr/s1600-h/5-19-09Park+002.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339507997278550338" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 308px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy3fPxZXuvY8X5YykeLfuKLzdbugQBsMWV7Ghw9LE4_SUpuvURvwHeWibAH0Z07T_-PH4hgCif7ipTIgMphu4PjZw0nIsYrbC6iuBpPcunDJek2f0yh6qIeoPebbk8PAXBvvt_j_aCvkLr/s400/5-19-09Park+002.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6Wix-sBmloqO7uiVlEtzRbjcI1hqePlEq9lEPu7KYARupfAoUNommG_hfzU77SPbofYoatFXUbIMOOeKBpb9o49RTz4kFT6R2Si044wVyhJO55yR-Vg24R6YvIZHd-sH-M_j1CckCNWxI/s1600-h/5-21-09+035.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339507992219492290" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6Wix-sBmloqO7uiVlEtzRbjcI1hqePlEq9lEPu7KYARupfAoUNommG_hfzU77SPbofYoatFXUbIMOOeKBpb9o49RTz4kFT6R2Si044wVyhJO55yR-Vg24R6YvIZHd-sH-M_j1CckCNWxI/s400/5-21-09+035.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br />Addison and her cousin Seth.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5emiuKXCqHySslOGA8YaGcJBJP_70pOGlZ7s9CLuvlbeVKk8DWxHyJszM4B3MD5nAtaXZzqY1pBu6aSUJ6hYWwKgHAf4BC37CcHUJDEwh8YP0uZBY4uWhAOYYcU7bzhHqHIcrAR1Rqt9Q/s1600-h/5-21-09+016.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339507989437919634" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5emiuKXCqHySslOGA8YaGcJBJP_70pOGlZ7s9CLuvlbeVKk8DWxHyJszM4B3MD5nAtaXZzqY1pBu6aSUJ6hYWwKgHAf4BC37CcHUJDEwh8YP0uZBY4uWhAOYYcU7bzhHqHIcrAR1Rqt9Q/s400/5-21-09+016.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br />She is a regular little water bug. My dog didn't die or anything like that, but I have felt particularly weighted down spiritually. I found myself searching for some inner peace and joy. My insides were in turmoil, not because of any specific event, but just a combination of all things in my everyday life. I do feel like I was under spiritual attack..and I was exhausted! I know that I have blessing upon blessing, so how could I be so unhappy? God has given me so much!!<br />I believe with all of my heart that I was experiencing some spiritual warfare. I think the Devil was out to break me down! In my mind, I see it as dark, cloudy, evil spirits swarming about me as I do my everyday things. They are there trying to suck the joy out of my life.<br />So.. I had to fight back! Or rather, God did!<br /><br />I reached a point of pure exhaustion mixed with crazed pregnancy hormones..and that is not a good combination, I tell you! God knew, however, that I needed a little <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">rejuvenation</span> and refreshment and he sent someone to help me. A friend of mine from church, also my cousin's wife, knew I had been under strain and offered to watch Addison for me so that I could rest for the afternoon. What a blessing!! I spent my alone time trying to take a nap, which wasn't great considering I had a stuffy nose from crying. Since I wasn't really getting any rest, I decided to get up and take a long, hot bath. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Ahhh</span>..felt good..but STILL I was not getting the adequate rest and peace I needed. So, what next? I packed up, went by myself to Hastings to get a cup of coffee, and to read my Bible without the distractions from home. (Trust me, if I were home, I can think of 30 things that need to be done around the house and it would have stolen my Bible time)<br />You will not believe what an affect that some alone time with God can have on you! God started to restore my soul..which was really the kind of restoration I needed...not necessarily a physical one!<br /><br />I realized that I cannot possibly have peace when my mind is in turmoil over the little things. I was spending today trying to figure out tomorrow! I was asking all kinds of Why?? When?? questions and trying to reason. You cannot have peace when you are doing that.<br />*Psalms 37:5 says to Commit your ways unto the Lord and to Trust in him,and he will bring it to pass.<br />What more do we need to know?? God knows and that should be enough! It's okay not to know...because HE DOES! As long as you know him, you are in good shape!<br /><br />So..how do we find the "Secret to Happiness??" How do we find Peace?? I promise you, it is only through Jesus.<br />Look back at review your life for a second? Can you see a time when you were truly happy and at peace? If you are a believer, I am sure that it was when you were walking with God. If you are not a believer in Christ, you have never felt the freedom of true Peace and Joy! Don't sell yourself short! I promise, if you just give Jesus a try, you will not come back and say, "I wish I wouldn't have done that."<br />Are you truly happy?? That is the question I want to ask here.. Think about it.<br /><br />The one thing that I didn't quite understand even though I grew up in church, was the issue with sin. For so long, I just thought that the Bible was a big list of things you can't do. Here's the kicker though, God doesn't tell you not to sin because it will affect HIM negatively. He tells us not to sin because he knows if will affect US negatively. He wants us to live the best life possible and the only way to do that is to live a life where he is number one. That is where I was so mistaken...God just wanted what was best for me and he knew that if I were living a life of sin, I was selling myself short. And I can look back at those times in my life, and guess what?? I was not happy!! I was trying to do everything I thought to make myself happy..but that was probably the most unhappy time in my life.<br />So, I <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">challenge</span> you, review your life. Are you truly happy? Are you truly at peace??<br />Jesus says, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)<br />Get a new lifestyle to gain peace! You need to develop a new way of thinking..and a new way of TALKING. Line your thoughts and words up with God's!"<br /><br />Stop giving someone else the responsibility for your joy! (THINK ABOUT IT)<br />The Joy of the Lord is my strength!--It's as simple as that! You may be tired of hearing about it, but you will have to bear with me!<br /><br /><div><div><div><div><div>We have picked out a paint color and all now...thank you Katy & Desiree for your help! So, I am just itching to get it started! You can see in the picture that we are going to use the teal and off white colors in the paint swatch. We are going to have one accent wall painted teal (the one the crib will go against) and the other three a neutral color. </div><div> </div><div>I also made the letters to hang on the teal wall behind the crib out of the scrapbook paper and wooden letters and stickers. I am going to hang them with the orange ribbon..if I can ever find my staple gun! </div><div><br />Also, below is the rug that I want to buy (hopefully) from IKEA to match. :) </div><div>If you are interested in seeing the bedding that we would like to get, here is the link:</div><div><a href="http://www4.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?DeptID=62438&CatID=62730&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=14e79f0&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CMID=62438%7c62644%7c62645&Fltr=&Srt=&QL=F&IND=6&CmCatId=62438626446264562730">http://www4.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?DeptID=62438&CatID=62730&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=14e79f0&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CMID=62438%7c62644%7c62645&Fltr=&Srt=&QL=F&IND=6&CmCatId=62438626446264562730</a></div><div>(the website wouldn't let me save the photo)</div><div> </div><div>Anyway, all that combined with the awesome crib blanket and pillows made by Jo and we will be set! :) Check out my previous posts to see those!</div><div><br /><br /> </div><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320837966875844402" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuTyicfUNt2gzviXGuPJiW5hQbFGTw6osNAHz1YVmO1ZutfHFfZBluL4JQkfaRj02OPiMEI_5DTejWH8Gqb4zcyTh-2svQhunmhaOhNW9-d4kfl5MBOiy5c_K4LcXO4xDC-5j7hbmf60aU/s400/4-3-09+018.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320839084002385202" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTgu2dHnMp6I6MPRrVkdUvDdfm2enTzzQI6jKJu0C-V_6xheWikFtYqHOJmAQyIE-w2gcj8fvgoWIxEO9B41D2VXF8XDe7UPlu_oDWOQkdoXw7msk8swAhuuSr2HM_SA-ihTR2xv6tq9YR/s400/Macyn+007.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320838249411101058" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAirvx_Xk980feNRPKaTnKjg3b7A7H5bOb8t0xt8lKcO9Tql8EoeDCaFC6MndVl5LuXCJvFpS4W8-azZl1s4RSXukqjQfYQf894HcQkLwltSXh-fldS8sMA1H30IPMnG7f0CQdTYb1dO1P/s400/Macyn+004.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320838876255364098" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyPvAcfbNGJsnMmwF0wbi9sUfjNBAnRpEFUPxSLZSu3XRDJPzVqRsXLB2-rb0icqjGdWZFl55cHbmC8b1-x6rqa88_msTOF7BpfpACJiC8b0qqMO2Pw5Ooxqtu7E5bq33nlHR6GAi5iHAa/s400/Macyn+005.JPG" border="0" /></div></div></div></div><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320842573218361666" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrSNiP6t375oUVOdV-TNR6MM3VWsoWY34FpH4fs3rRApueWW2RHFKpZrVw1ALFSoFnY2_16LNx9U4pGucrd93zO9k5C4wf0v6Qa5xHcwzHFyy-eaQvCwy9-ghrgu7k50B67rZIu6TJTzUh/s400/Macyn+rug.jpg" border="0" />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540500810927704586.post-18921905810529764162009-03-26T21:22:00.008-05:002009-03-26T21:45:37.083-05:00What lurks in the bottom of your purse??<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiE0D5yhvBm-QWPeR215ompWKKRovZX21nD5HTedOxh3bRT1op4BrK2z6CXZ7LhM3LN9kI9zCq8E2Cq65fB5RjKbRvpHI_MpNXTMnNsUu6x_X0cgTzCVnvrcn9WiNd0obo6q_jMl5o1w1jv/s1600-h/004.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317692623889795186" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiE0D5yhvBm-QWPeR215ompWKKRovZX21nD5HTedOxh3bRT1op4BrK2z6CXZ7LhM3LN9kI9zCq8E2Cq65fB5RjKbRvpHI_MpNXTMnNsUu6x_X0cgTzCVnvrcn9WiNd0obo6q_jMl5o1w1jv/s400/004.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>I was reading a fellow <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">blogger's</span> page (<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Slye</span> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Goobies</span>) and she had a post like this one. We are going to have another little girl! She was very active so it took a good while to get a clear shot..but they finally did! She was face down, head down and hanging out really low in the womb. It was amazing to watch her move around. She kept one hand behind her head the whole time. You may be able tell from the top picture. She kept her head down like that the whole time but she was working those legs and raising her <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">hiney</span> up and down. It seems like every task ends up this way. I have a little too much help lately with all of my daily chores. Addison loves to "help" with the laundry (unfold the clothes) or unload this dishwasher (try her hardest to swipe the knives, ect..she wants to close the dishwasher every time I turn to put something in a cabinet so that I have to open the dishwasher at least 20 times while unloading one load.) or grocery shop. </span></span></p><p><span style="color:#330033;"><span style="color:#000000;">Yes, today we went to the grocery store. I was about to have to go to the Wacky House by the time we were finished. Addison threw several fits..smashed the bread, screamed "OPEN" a million times for yogurt, and broke a dozen eggs while we were at Kroger. *sigh* No, I am not exaggerating. Not to mention she nearly flipped over the edge of the buggy. Yes, I know she should be strapped in and most of the time she is... but she was getting way too restless by the time we were finished so I decided to let her sit in the big part of the buggy. (I coupon shop because who has the money for groceries anymore?? But the disadvantage is that it takes a LOT longer.) Mamaw was "watching" her while I unloaded the groceries on the belt. By this time we had two carts. One for groceries and one for Addison because she was slowly ruining my groceries and costing me more money by the second. Anyway, I looked over and she is hanging over the edge of the cart and Mamaw is standing there looking at the people coming in and out of the entrance. Meanwhile, Evil Kineval decides to take advantage of the situation. Luckily, I was close enough to grab the hood of her sweater to reel her back in. Of course, the sudden whiplash scared her and so she starts crying hysterically. Meanwhile, I feel like every person in Kroger is watching me and probably thinking, "Lady, get your screaming child under control!!" and in return, I feel the urge to stick my tounge out at all the old women watching me..but I refrain. </span></span></p><br /><p><span style="color:#330033;"><span style="color:#000000;"><strong>Now</strong> I remember why I shop at night while she is asleep and Chris is at home with her. </span></span></p><br /><p><span style="color:#330033;"></p></span><br /><span style="color:#330033;"><div align="center"><br /></span></div><br /><div></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540500810927704586.post-79266736699297637602009-02-12T15:27:00.006-06:002009-02-12T15:45:26.220-06:00Hello!<p align="center"> </p><p align="center">I was looking through some recent photos and videos that I took and came across this one, which made me smile. This is typical Addison. She loves to talk on the phone! Looks like we are going to have to make sure we have insurance on our phones! haha</p><p></p><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dxRWpfaRSHGrG2vyvzihI2L4fyVIO75nzy4XrhhfEnf-QTAroXQTbJ0-MEkbZHYvdkdTvnVNS32zBXI-qnMzA' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540500810927704586.post-91337894612283062892009-01-18T17:06:00.006-06:002009-01-18T17:44:14.650-06:00Update on Baby2<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhTS5lHHGfFLXoamdm2gr2g-H6QaCKt07UTxB9GC54Rdrkf3Koqso2CsHAffQYAe2g9Jvhc60RQwKd4cUbLH71Z2-0djNx91t4-QIe3_nnP-u5VUr3QF79PAN5GxGbTz8Qc4GpQxKfr1-D/s1600-h/scan0011.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5292774390292911202" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 287px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhTS5lHHGfFLXoamdm2gr2g-H6QaCKt07UTxB9GC54Rdrkf3Koqso2CsHAffQYAe2g9Jvhc60RQwKd4cUbLH71Z2-0djNx91t4-QIe3_nnP-u5VUr3QF79PAN5GxGbTz8Qc4GpQxKfr1-D/s400/scan0011.jpg" border="0" /></a> Well, here is the newest sonogram of baby2. I have been meaning to post this blog for over a week now, so technically this is an old sonogram. You know how fast babies grow! Haha I was 9 weeks and 2 days along for this sono. My official due date is August 13th.<br />The baby was floating around upside down and so the head is at the bottom and you can see little arm and leg buds. (My mother thinks it looks like it has two heads. I hope not!)<br />I know a lot of you have emailed me and are wanting to know how I have been feeling. Well...SLEEPY! Which is why I have been terrible about emailing back! When Addison takes a nap, I used to have time to do blog updates and different things, but here lately, I have just wanted to take naps too. I figure I might as well try to sleep when I can now, because when baby2 gets here, it will just be wishful thinking I am sure. Especially if this baby is anything like Addison was. During my sonogram, it looked like it was doing aerobics...which is what Addison looked like..so you never know, but I bet we will have another very very active child. :)<br /><br />I do think the morning sickness is gone however. *fingers crossed* Yay! AND, spaghetti sounds good again. I also am LOVING the way coffee smells. Which completely contradicts how I was with my pregnancy with Addison. The smell of coffee and hamburger meat made me ill. Now, it doesn't bother me!<br /><br /><br /><p>I guess I am going to leave the blog at that...it has taken me over 30 minutes just to write this because Addison keeps wanting me to stop and blow a feather so she can catch it and say "Where Go?" Haha So, i am going to go and enjoy it. Peace Out!<br /></p><br /><br /><br /><div></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540500810927704586.post-92028026992747656552009-01-02T19:49:00.004-06:002009-01-02T21:53:06.528-06:00Food Aversions and CravingsI am positive I am carrying a Filipino baby! (Not that i wasn't sure beforehand...) But I officially have had cravings for Fried Rice! <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Haha</span> So, just in case you were wondering Chris--It's yours! This baby wants to eat like you do! I have been wanting some of my mother-in-law's cooking so bad lately. And truthfully, if you have ever eaten it, it wouldn't matter if you were pregnant or not, you would crave it too! Fried Rice and <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Lumpia</span> are her specialty and they are <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">absolutely</span> delicious! (<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Lumpia</span> is an <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">eggroll</span> with hamburger meat, carrot, onion, celery & water chestnuts inside...forget the cabbage <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">eggrolls</span>!) I have also been wanting food from Shogun! Which of course is the same type of food. I have been talking about it for days...and my husband surprised me with it tonight!! <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">Yay</span>! :)<br /><br /><br /><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeiqtQgqBnS7FUuG24btEKNMRjjn3lgMzuPTFUE-5s_WH1faSXqSkyJUUqcfrbPdBMFEB6w22Tlw40Ydcv1eA4H02wQ7zwJ8vzPBt-Z472Jze_9j13bq63VwrpnbZgqaLw7f5k-gSWD3RI/s1600-h/1-2-09+028.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286879015379780466" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeiqtQgqBnS7FUuG24btEKNMRjjn3lgMzuPTFUE-5s_WH1faSXqSkyJUUqcfrbPdBMFEB6w22Tlw40Ydcv1eA4H02wQ7zwJ8vzPBt-Z472Jze_9j13bq63VwrpnbZgqaLw7f5k-gSWD3RI/s400/1-2-09+028.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />I had spent all day studying and doing schoolwork and I was so mentally exhausted that i just did NOT want to decide what to cook for supper. So, Chris told me he would just pick up Mickey D's, which was just fine with me! When he got home, he DID have McDonald's but he had hidden some fried rice in the oven for me. So, when he told me to go open it up... I was beyond excited! First of all...who can afford to eat Shogun?? Well, if all you order is fried rice...it is only 2.50 a serving. You have to order at least two servings to go..so, it's 5 bucks! Not Bad! That is two servings pictured above...so I will get to eat Shogun again tomorrow!<br />See?? Isn't my hubby the best and sweetest??? </p><p><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">Ok</span>..and in <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">addition</span> to cravings.. I have had food aversions too. NO ITALIAN PLEASE! Which is so unlike me. It makes me very nauseated and just the thought of it doesn't settle well.</p><p><br /><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9">Ok</span> though, enough about food! Addison said "I love you" today!! I wish she had said it to me but the lucky recipient was Dixie, our Boxer. (Now known as "Dickey") Addison gave her a big hug and kiss and told her she loved her. *sigh*<br /><br />Well, obviously I cannot make the "Lose Weight" resolution this year..at least not right now, so I have come up with a few other goals that I would like to accomplish in 2009!<br />1. Read my One Year Bible EVERYDAY! So, of course, this means reading <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10">through</span> the whole Bible this year!<br />2. Finish School! Preferably before the new baby gets here so my deadline is bumped up.<br />3. Read, Read, Read!<br />4. Be a more loving wife and mother. Not that I was an ogre or anything before, I just want to make sure I show my family how much I love them. I don't want Addison to grow up one day and see me as a "scolding/negative" parent. (Although, don't worry, there will discipline still too!) I just want her to remember getting lots of hugs and kisses. Same for Chris :)<br /><br />So far it is already looking like a great year! In just two days,I have accomplished a good deal of schoolwork, eaten some fried rice, read my Bible, finished a book-Tribulation Force, played and loved on Addison, and watched a movie with Chris. Of <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11">course</span>, this among my other daily routine tasks.<br />Oh--AND written a blog :)<br />It feels good to have made progress!<br /><br />Hope you all had a great New Year as well!</p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540500810927704586.post-74714710891361957132008-12-29T20:56:00.003-06:002008-12-29T21:26:48.608-06:00And Baby Makes...FOUR!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYaEyUSZyuWQfV-vLS-ImsmFVrKDuffszI9a2D-DmTag_M0wW7j5__3OmIHk1gsyWntOtats8Qxio1eqiz7rX8MCcheqWMjxqNg9XaBdMu4OBW734pIVa3Fb1E6zoojtpAnSZd02KEKjhyphenhyphen/s1600-h/scan0002.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285412073371702978" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 303px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYaEyUSZyuWQfV-vLS-ImsmFVrKDuffszI9a2D-DmTag_M0wW7j5__3OmIHk1gsyWntOtats8Qxio1eqiz7rX8MCcheqWMjxqNg9XaBdMu4OBW734pIVa3Fb1E6zoojtpAnSZd02KEKjhyphenhyphen/s400/scan0002.jpg" border="0" /></a> It is finally time to share our exciting news with all of you!! Addison will become a big sister this August. (I think it's August anyway) :) I will be going to the doctor on January 7th and I believe that she will send me for a trans-vaginal sonogram and we will be able to get a more acurate due date. Since this pregnancy was not planned, I of course, did not keep records. I did get an "over-the-belly" sonogram though. At least that is what I call it, I do not know the proper medical term. A friend of mine from highschool does sonograms at the hospital and she scanned me..on my birthday! What a great birthday present :) She measured that I was 6 weeks and 3 days along at that point...so that would put me at 7 weeks and 4 days today! She was surprised to see a heartbeat was detected this early with this type of sono..but there it was!<br />We are definatly excited about adding to our family but also a little nervous. If any of you know how busy Addison already is, the thought of adding another right now is exhausting! But God has a divine plan and we are truly blessed! <br />Chris and I had trouble getting pregnant with Addison and had to use Clomid, a fertility drug, to concieve. So, you can imagine our surprise to find out that we were expecting again! AND, it is around the same time that I was due with Addison. So, the birthdays will be very close. I remember telling everyone at Christmas that we were expecting with Addison..and we repeated history!<br />So..that's what's new at the Barber house! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5
