What lurks in the bottom of your purse??

I was reading a fellow blogger's page (Slye Goobies) and she had a post like this one. It made me curious to see what really WAS in the bottom of my purse.

(OK, first of all, notice that there is no wallet??? What, What?? Isn't that the point?)

Contents:
*Halls cough drops
*Chloraseptic sore throat lozenges
*Checkbook (with a baby hair bow stuck to it)
*Bible
*Church Bulletin
*Sunglasses
*Whataburger and Daylight Donut receipts (WHat?? I'm pregnant, leave me alone!)
*clothespin -who knows why
*B-natal lollipop for nausea
*broken snowflake key chain (probably should go in the trash category)
*2 packs of gum (Actually 3!!! After I took the photo and started putting stuff back in my purse, I found another pack! haha Not worth pulling it all out and taking another photo)
*Makeup Palette
*7 lip gloss/lipstick/chap stick -And the funny thing is i hardly wear any of it.. I forget to put it on!
*lip liner
*2 roll on perfume sticks
*And of course trash..mostly gum wrappers!

Neat exercise and of course, makes me realize I need to find my wallet and clean out my purse!

Drumroll Please

We have a name! (At least a first name)

MACYN

Possibly, Macyn Elizabeth, but the middle name is not set in stone yet. Chris and I have probably gone through and considered over 200 names...but we finally found one! I am really excited about this because now I feel like I can connect with this baby a little more. I just felt awkward not knowing her name for so long. It is like a sigh of relief to finally know!

We are slowly getting my "hair room" cleaned out and now all we really need to do is to find someone to hire to tape and bed a couple of holes in the wall (where my sink was). Then, we paint and move the crib in! :)

I am so excited about what I decided to do the room in! A friend from church is going to make a wall hanging and the crib blanket and pillows for me and she found an AWESOME fabric!

So, it's a start! :)

It's a GIRL!

Well, here's the proof! We are going to have another little girl! She was very active so it took a good while to get a clear shot..but they finally did! She was face down, head down and hanging out really low in the womb. It was amazing to watch her move around. She kept one hand behind her head the whole time. You may be able tell from the top picture. She kept her head down like that the whole time but she was working those legs and raising her hiney up and down. Maybe she was doing "downward dog Yoga." Let's hope she is doing some sort of relaxation technique because if she comes out anything like Addison, she will be high strung!
The bottom picture is just that...her bottom. :) I don't know how good you all are at reading sonograms. It would be like she was laying on her tummy with her legs tucked under her and you see a rear view. You can see her hiney and then her feet tucked underneath. See it?? Those three little bright white dots are her girly parts (right above the word GIRL).
Of course, the first time we looked, as many of you know, she had her legs crossed and the cord was between them. So she may be a little stinker! We will see!
Now...let the planning begin! We have yet to come up with a good name that we both agree on so we still have to call her Baby2 for now. So, we are taking suggestions! Of course, had it been a boy, we have the name and have had it for a good while. Ha ha

It's a Spicy Meatball!

The other night, I was watching Throw down with Bobby Flay and he was challenging Mike Moroni to a meatball cook off. I went to bed that night and literally dreamt all night that I was making meatballs in my sleep! So, yes, I had to go to the store that next day and get some ingredients for meatballs because nothing else would suffice.. I HAD to have Spaghetti and Meatballs! Of course, there are all these fancy ingredients you are supposed to use, like "Spanish" onion and "Italian" parsley. But, hello, I live in Paris! Our pickings are slim when it comes to gourmet ingredients. So, I substituted here and there..but here is the recipe! It was SO good that I had to share. (It also called for 4 oz. of whole milk and I totally forgot to add it. I didn't even miss it until I was thinking about it in the bathtub later that night. Yes, I was STILL thinking about Meatballs..ha ha)
This recipe made a TON of food so we had enough for lunches and leftovers another night...plus my dad came to eat too. And if any of you know my dad..he can put away the food. See, I came by it honest! :)

Meatballs
1 pound ground chuck
7 ounces dried bread crumbs
4 large eggs
6 ounces grated Parmesan/Asiago/Romano blend
3 ounces grated onion
2 ounces finely diced fresh garlic
2 ounces finely chopped fresh parsley leaves
2 ounces finely chopped fresh basil leaves
Salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with olive oil cooking spray.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly in large bowl. If mixture seems a little loose add more bread crumbs.
Roll meatballs loosely about the size of a golf ball and place on baking sheet. Place into preheated oven for approximately 35 to 40 minutes. Enjoy!

Simple Marinara Sauce
Olive oil
12 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 large or 2 medium onions, finely diced
2 (28-ounce) cans imported crushed tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon white or black pepper
1 large handful julienned fresh basil leaves
Salt to taste
crushed red pepper flakes (give it a few shakes)
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add oil.
Once heated add the garlic and onions to the pan.
Cook over medium heat until soft and slightly brown.
Next add the canned crushed tomatoes, salt and pepper and red pepper flakes and stir. Allow the sauce to come to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.
Remove from the heat and add the julienned basil.

I am terrified of going back to the doctor tomorrow for my monthly weigh-in/check up tomorrow thanks to The Girl Scouts of America and these Meatballs. Yikes!
