Cenzie can drink from a straw!!

I was so excited to see Clint, Cora, and Cenzie at church this past Sunday! It was a great week...cause I got to see them again!! Yay! Cenzie is just growing like a weed! She is so sweet and cuddly! She's not even six months old yet..and do you know what she can do??? Drink from a straw! No joke! I know it is hard to believe so I have a video!! Addie is almost a year and there is no way she is drinking from a straw. I have tried and all she does is bite it and try to pull it out of a cup. Anyway, Cenzie needs to come over more often. (Hint, Hint Cora!:))

Tasha is hopefully going to make Addison's birthday cake and I am so excited about it. I think we have decided on a Palm Tree since it goes with our Luau theme. It's gonna be too cute!

Ice Cream & a Workout Plan

I found a solution to my workout woes! :) Or at least my hubby did. We invested in an elipti-glider. Chris has been wanting one and so have I, so he found one in Tulsa, O.K. and went last Saturday to pick it up. I have worked out on it everyday so far...and I have already lost 3 lbs! (Well 3.6 to be exact!) I have been wanting to work out and had been going back to the gym, but Addison just wasn't having it! She learned she can see me through the glass windows and just stands there and cries until someone comes and gets me. So, here is our solution! I can work out at night, or naptimes!

We went shopping today to stock up on food for our new "healthier lifestyle." Apparently Baby was bad cause she got strapped in backwards. I like this picture. Addison looks so sweet and innocent in it.

Finally, Jana had a pregnant craving for a banana split and she shared some with Addison...who was thrilled about it. (Don't worry..I ate CarbWatch ice cream which was really good)

Paris News Beautiful Baby Contest

Well, the Sunday paper came.....and Ta-Da!!! :) I was beyond excited to see that Addison had won in her age group!

Of course, we had to miss church this Sunday because Addison woke up with a red matted up eye. So, just in case it was pink eye, I wanted to make sure we didn't go to the nursery. It was probably just allergies though since we went to Brokenbow this weekend. (I have to hit my mom up for some pics to post)

Well hi everybody! Sorry I have been out of pocket lately..but my cell phone literally fell out of my pocket..and into the toilet. SO, I am probably a little hard to reach these days.

We just got back from a great visit to Longview. Our weekend flew by so fast! We visited with family and friends and ate too much of Tony Jr. & Lula's great cooking!

Now, I am working on planning Addison's first birthday party! I cannot believe it is almost here! We are having a Luau so bring your hula skirts and hawaiian shirts! We did a "photo shoot" so that I could put a pic of Addison on her birthday invitiations. Here are a couple of ones I liked, but didn't make the cut. The photo we chose won't be revealed until you receive your invitation in the mail!

Mighty Mouse

Well, today was the first day I have ever left Addison with someone else all day long. (Other than Chris...which was only once.) I decided that it was way too hard to do hair and have her here. I still do a few hairdos on Fridays for friends and family but Addison does NOT like me being in the room without her..so I decided to pay a babysitter one day a week. Of course, I picked one that I am most confident with..my sister :) Wouldn't you know that the one day I pay for daycare is the one day that two clients either forgot or stood me up! Sheesh! So, I guess I am going to pick her up in a minute.... even though I could have gotten her at 2 if only I had known. Regardless, I have missed her something terrible today. It is probably harder for me than it is for her when we are apart. She's growing way too fast and getting so big. Here is a video of my little "mighty mouse." She is too big for her britches...she sure didn't stay a baby long.

OH!! My laptop and my books all came in...so I can start my medical transcription school now! woohoo!

Okay so this was today, after we got back from our fiasco at RACE. I have decided to start working out again! Wooohoo! And, I can take Addison to the gym with me now since they have day care...or so I thought. Well, she was ok at first until she saw me thru the window and then the waterworks started and they couldn't calm her down. So, my friend Jana who was with me went in there and tried to calm her so I could finish..and that didnt work either! She had to bring her to the locker room with me and while I showered she screamed the whole time. I am sure the other women...who go work out to get a break from their kids...loved me. :) So, I am bummed now and don't know what to do. Try again? Find someone else to watch her? Quit going up there? *sigh* And I have alredy worked my "running time" up to one whole minute without passing out! Progress I tell you!

She fell asleep on the way home. She must have been exhausted from crying and I just left her in her car seat to finish her nap out.

Shop-a-holic!

Yes, thanks to AMY.......I bought this bunny for Addison off of Etsy.com. I really wanted to buy a little Asian girl rag doll, but they were WAY too expensive.
So, instead of posting my fabulous blog, I shopped. Yes, I looked through all of the plush baby toys. Addison carries a baby doll with her wherever she goes so I thought I would do a switcheroo and see if she likes this one. Shopping took all my blogger time---so thanks AmY! :)

Okay, so I know, It has been forever since I last posted! Shame on me! But there literally just is not enough time in the day sometimes and my child is very very demanding as you all know. Plus, I spend half my day just kissing her face off. :) Addison is the "kissy-est" baby you will ever meet...I wonder why???

I actually started this blog a few days ago, but somehow, I lost most of it because I hit the back button..oops. So here are a few pics of my neice Bethany. She is too sweet and too cute! She stayed in Paris for a week last week with Nannie and Poppy (my mom and dad) while her daddy was having back surgery and her mother was working. I loved having her around. She baked a pretend birthday cake all day long..and she was very protective over it. She didn't want Addison getting anywhere near it. Haha :)

Now, come on...she is too freakin adorable! Looks just like her Momma.

It is official! Addison can WALK! Here she is pushing a toy on the driveway. What a speedster. The little bit of hair she has is sticking up she is going to fast.

I took Addison swimming for the first time today!! (Compliments of Amber G.) She absolutely loves the water and I am so glad! I already knew she liked her baths so I figured that swimming would be even more fun for her..and it was. Well, she loved it after she got over being scared of the big inflatable turtle that I bought her. :) Who would have thought going swimming was so expensive though?? I had to buy some Huggies Little Swimmers, some baby sun block-which was for me as well, and that fabulous floatie and it cost me almost $30! But it was worth it just to see her smiling and splashing around.

I also went to see CATS in Dallas yesterday and it was AWESOME! (cameras weren't allowed so sorry, no pics) Yet another great Mother's day gift from Chris! He bought two tickets and let me take whomever I decided and he stayed home with Addison so I could have some "me" time, which I needed. I took Jennifer, my older sis, since she is a theater queen. Did you know that CATS is one of the longest running Broadway shows ever?? I thought it was great but it is no "Phantom of the Opera." I think they should have subtitles somewhere during plays though because there are times I could not for the life of me understand what they were saying or singing.
We also went to Chuy's...which is one of my favorite places to eat in the world! It was sooooooooo good. I got the Chicka-Chicka-boom-boom enchiladas with green chile rice. Yummmmm! To Die For! Then impulsive part of me came out on the way home from Dallas though and I stopped in Mesquite at the mall and got a haircut. A little scary when you don't know your stylist..but Maribele did a great job as far as I can see and it isn't bothering me as bad now. So, as much as I missed my baby girl and my hubby, I did have a good time just getting away.

I am having a hard time keeping my eyes open so I better sign off! I need to get some sleep anyway because my friend Tasha is coming with her baby, Addyson to see me!! ...and I am getting new carpet in the morning!!
